every month: it will be the next big digital wave". Curious how? Artificial intelligence offers an excellent opportunity to simplify our daily lives and increase our productivity.

Let's start with a few concrete examples of how chatbots can already assist us. At the moment, Gemini (https://gemini.google.com) and ChatGPT (https://chat.openai.com) are among the most reliable free chatbots. Microsoft Copilot, which uses GPT-4, is lagging somewhat behind, although it is improving quickly. Claude.ai is also appearing on the horizon, but not yet in our region. Registration and access to basic functionality are completely free on all these platforms.

Important advice first: be careful when sharing sensitive information. Phrase your questions generically: for example, replace "Customer ABC has..." with "A customer has...".

Write long emails faster

Save time by describing the email you want to the chatbot in a few sentences. For a quick response, you could type: "Write a professional email thanking a customer for their feedback". You can optionally include the original text, without personal data, as additional context. The chatbot creates a polite, professional email that can be used immediately. It may sound fairly trivial, but generating the entire email from just a few sentences saves an enormous amount of time.

Need extra ideas, knowledge or inspiration?

Stuck on a project? Missing certain knowledge? Ask a chatbot for suggestions: "We want to start using A.I. in our company, but have no idea where to begin" (you could of course ask me that one too ๐Ÿ˜‰). Use the suggestions as a starting point for brainstorming sessions. To go deeper, you can ask: "Develop idea X further. What if we...?". The more context you provide, such as information about the sector or specific challenges (without revealing sensitive data), the better the chatbot can assist. Sometimes it is also useful to provide regional context, e.g. "Can you tell me more about privacy legislation in Belgium?".

Text manipulation

Summarise a long text? Make the tone of a text more or less formal? Add relevant information to a text? Give the chatbot your original text and specify your request: "Give a concise summary of this text: [copy and paste text]". If the chatbot supports document uploads, upload your document after removing sensitive information.

Chatbots have their strengths and weaknesses and are constantly evolving. My best advice: experiment, approach them as experts and ask follow-up questions for more precise answers.

Happy "prompting"!
