solutions developed by A.I. engineers may seem a step too far for a company. But is that really the case?

An A.I. engineer still has a few cards up their sleeve and can offer additional value in many scenarios:

➡ Customisation: building & adapting AI models to specific needs, for specific use cases

➡ Domain expertise: integrating domain knowledge so that AI models assess specific business challenges more effectively than a generic approach such as ChatGPT

➡ Model optimisation: refining and optimising model performance and accuracy, and addressing any limitations in models

➡ Integration and maintenance: seamless integration of AI models into existing systems and maintaining them over time, to solve problems and update models where necessary, without dependence on third-party support

➡ Security and data privacy: models are developed in-house, respecting data privacy and ensuring compliance with any sector-specific regulations

➡ Cost-effectiveness: although generic A.I. platforms such as ChatGPT may have a potentially lower entry cost, not to mention integration costs, the long-term costs of using such platforms can add up, especially with excessive dependency and intensive use

In short, it is useful to consult an expert when a project requires customisation, domain-specific knowledge or the handling of specific business challenges!
